Karl Castillo name drops the Duchess of York and her sister Libby Ferguson on the daily. Whether they know Karl in any business capacity, as he claims, is questionable, although it would not surprise me if he has spun them a yarn about introducing various pie in the sky business deals.
Karl Castillo is a self styled pr slash networker slash entrepreneur. Karl has schmoozed his way around all the socialite pr firms in london on the promise that he represents high net worth clients that may be interested in hiring these pr firms to produce luxury social events.Of course Karl Castillo is too busy to do the social events himself because of all the other businesses he is involved in. He just wants a cut. Of course, there are no clients. Just people Karl has met at one oft the fancy hotel bars like the Connaught Hotel on Mount Street in Mayfair. But Karl Castillo is so convincing of his client network, and has repeated these stories so many times, that he himself believes the lies he tells.
Karl is a social climber, and to his credit he has done a great job conning his way into socialite events on the town in London. Beware of Karl Rikki Castillo!

Sad but true. Karlito Castillo borrowed money, or rather stole money, from a girlfriend of mine several years ago. He is a fraud pretending to be an important socialite business man but the truth is nothing he says is real. I remember how upset she was that a grown man that was a lot older than her managed to manipulate her into lending him thousands of pounds, with promised he would repay the following week from a big deal he was working on, only to disappear. It bothered her so much that he had spun so many lies to her and deceived her that she felt really stupid. One evening she saw him while we were having dinner at Annabel's that she couldn't finish her meal and insisted that we leave rather than having to have any contact with him. so you know, karl's not a member and she could have easily got him kicked out but she has more class than that.
ReplyDeleteI have met Karl several times. He somehow befriended my girlfriend. From no where Karl was messaging her regularly asking her to go for drinks at Chiltern or Annabels. The funny thing is that Karl can't get into either place without her. There is definitely something not right about him and his business stories about what he was up to all seemed larger than life. I didn't realize it at the time but having read some of the posts on this blog it now makes more sense. Anyway, I told my girlfriend to stop being so open to him. She has a good nature but doesn't always see the bad in people trying to take advantage of her. I told her that Karl was just using her to gain access to our wealthy network of friends and places.
